Gemma joined West Yorkshire Sport in November 2009 bringing with her a plethora of work based qualifications and extensive private sector finance management skills.
Gemma’s has brought her experience to the organisation and developed financial procedures and systems to improve operations at West Yorkshire Sport. Other strengths include strong customer service skills from her previous role as counter manager at Barclays Bank PLC.
Gemma’s current role in the West Yorkshire Sport team is Business Support Manager. This mainly includes financial procedures, personnel management, project administration, customer care and generally helping the office run smoothly.
To progress her accounting skills further, Gemma is undertaking her level 3 training with the Association for Accounting Technicians.
In her spare time, Gemma is an active runner and cyclist. She brings a cultural element to the team with 20 years of classical training in ballet, modern and tap, performing in over 35 musicals to date.
