Vicky has had 13 years experience working in the sports sector; this includes previously working for a large Local Authority Sports Development Unit in physical activity and club development roles before moving onto Community Sports Manager at a shared purpose facility. Vicky has experience in working with a range of partners from private operators to community and voluntary organisations both individually and together on specific projects.
Vicky has worked for West Yorkshire Sport since November 2009 in which time she has led on the National Governing Body relationship management. This has included taking part in a number of the activities, an aspect of the job she considers essential!
She leads on the club development and funding strand for West Yorkshire Sport and has recently carried out commissioned work for two of our district partners around funding and strategy planning.
Vicky is a sports enthusiast most involved in hockey in which she represented Sheffield Hallam Hockey Club in the National League. Now her involvement is predominantly coaching and she is a Centrally Contracted Coach working for the England Hockey Board. Vicky is also part of the coaching team for the Sheffield Men’s 1st team in the National League and Head Coach for the ladies section of the club. Vicky also heads up the clubs Performance and Coaching Group overseeing the design and implementation of quality coaching programmes, performance management and player pathways.
