Olympic Sport of Taekwondo comes to Bingley

Quest Taekwondo have set up a new class at Beckfoot School, Bingley, on Saturday mornings 11.00am to 12.30pm.

Quest Taekwondo also did a fund raiser to raise £900 for some specific Olympic Taekwondo sparring mats to train on, which Beckfoot School have kindly provided storage space for. The training the Quest will be providing will include self defence, fitness, flexibility, kicking techniques and Olympic Sparring as seen in the demonstration by Jade Jones on the Jonathon Ross show, ITV, on 6th January.

Quest are one of only two Olympic Taekwondo schools in the Aire Valley and Bradford area, the other being Saber Taekwondo. Quest Taekwondo are offering this tuition at a rate of just £5 per session, which is open to male and female participants of all ages, starting at 4.

The other clubs within Quest Taekwondo, such as in Keighley (Fitness First), Baildon (Sandal Primary School), Cottingley (Cornerstone Centre) and Calverley (Jimmy's Gym), are also open to new members following the New Year break.

Quest will be competing at the Children's International Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, in February, with 10 talents aged under 13 competing the gold in sparring and patterns.
