Published on: 14th October 2011

In the run up to Saturday’s 130th birthday celebration at Huddersfield Town Hall more and more people have wanted to be part of this special occasion.  Kirklees Active Leisure have decided to join the celebrations with a Zumba session leading up to the finale of the day.

Matthew Brammer and colleagues will be leading a Zumba session from 3pm to 4pm in the Father Willis Bar followed by a mass Zumba conga that everyone can join in with leading down to the main hall for the final part of the celebration, along with confetti canons, fanfares and a special 130th birthday cake.

Adding to the day’s line up The Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra have also joined proceedings and will be playing in the 1940s themed café in the Old Court Room along with Slaithwaite Philharmonic Light Orchestra.

The Huddersfield Carnival will also be displaying some of their spectacular costumes during the day.
