England’s only Mixed Ability Rugby team will be taking on a South Yorkshire Police team to help promote the Mencap ‘Stand by Me’ campaign.
Mencap has launched the ‘Stand by Me’ Charter which looks at the way the Police work with people who have a learning disability. Mencap, the Bingley Bumble Bees and South Yorkshire Police will come together to promote links and celebrate South Yorkshire Police signing the charter.
The “Bumbles” are England’s only full contact rugby union team with players who have a learning disability.
