Hold on to your hats- Hot Wheel Roller Derby are hosting their first OPEN home bout on the 30th October in Halifax!
Not heard of roller derby? Roller derby is fast paced, furious, full contact sport played by women on roller skates. The game is called a bout which is played over two 30 min periods where two teams of five women skate it out in a hard hitting race to win the most points. Don't let the hot pants fool you, roller derby is an exhilarating sport that will rock your world. Hot Wheel Roller Derby will be battling it out with Newcastle Rollergirls who boast a track record of brilliant wins. They will no doubt try to win this one too , to combat this Hot Wheel Roller Derby have been training very hard to stop them. The results will be revealed on the day!
On the day you'll get to see live roller derby action, visit amazing stalls from outside vendors, take part in a raffle draw and there will be half time entertainment to keep you even more entertained
Tickets are now on sale online, tickets are £5 each in advance, £6 on the day and under 16s get in free.
There are lots of stalls in the vendor village to occupy yourselves with before the game commences. There are skate stalls, merchandise stalls, through to cake, sweet and jewelery stalls. There's even a face painter to complete your look for the day!
Doors open at 1:30pm, followed by the first whistle at 2:30pm. Continue the excitement with food and drinks in the upstairs bar at North Bridge Leisure Centre.
