Kids of Steel Triathlon - 10 July 2012 - 1,000 entrants wanted

Published on: 18th April 2012

Now in its 6th year the Tata Kids of Steel Triathlon is set to be bigger and better than its original impressive opening in 2007. ‘Kids of Steel’ was an idea planned and organised through a partnership with British Triathlon and Corus (now Tata).

The events, which are spread across the UK, aim at introducing school children to this exciting sport in a safe and enjoyable way. Over the past few years we have seen the Kids of Steel events attracting 1000 children to take part in an action packed day.

Next year there are 24 events planned and the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford is Yorkshire’s new venue. It’s a great opportunity for schools and the local community to be involved in an Olympic sport, during the Olympic year!

This type of participation cannot be achieved without the help of you, whether you are a School Teacher or even an interested parent, please consider this event in your diary of sporting events across the summer, and for more information you can log onto

www.britishtriathlon.org/events or you can contact Triathlon England’s Regional Programme Manager at either rebeccarowley@triathlonengland.orgor by calling 07860695235.

A primary aim within this work is to provide a real opportunity for children in local communities around the country, on top of providing a fantastic day of adrenalin packed fun, so please pass this information onto any interested parties and we will have more information around this as the event creeps ever closer,

Looking forward to seeing you on 10th July 2012
