Run the 2012 Virgin London Marathon for SportsAid

Published on: 3rd November 2011

SportsAid really is at the heart of the human legacy from the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games - we support the sports stars of tomorrow today.
Right here in Yorkshire, talented emerging athletes are in need of funding and what better way to play your part in Yorkshire's Olympic legacy than to run the 2012 Virgin London Marathon on behalf of SportsAid Y&H?

As you may be aware, SportsAid Y&H has been supporting Yorkshire’s brightest sporting prospects for more than 30 years and has played an important role in the development of some world class athletes including Adrian Moorhouse, Peter Elliot and Jessica Ennis.

In order to develop the next generation of our sporting champions, however, we need your help. SportsAid Y&H currently has just one place left for the 2012 Virgin London Marathon and we'd like to offer this place to our supporters on a 'first come, first served' basis. Ideally, we'd be looking for our runner to raise a minimum of £1,000 for the charity from this event.

There really has never been a better time to show your support for the future of sport in Yorkshire than in 2012 - the year of our home Olympiad and the year in which together we can create a really meaningful and tangible legacy for our region from the Games.

If you would like to take the opportunity to run the 2012 Virgin London Marathon on behalf of Yorkshire's talented emerging athletes, please get in touch with the SportsAid Y&H office by calling 0113 242 7627 or by emailing yorkshire@sportsaid.org.uk.

Remember, this last place is being offered on a strictly 'first come, first served' basis so don't hang around - get your response in today to avoid disappointment!
Thank you in advance for your interest and support as SportsAid continues to support the sports stars of tomorrow today.
Kind regards,
Rob
