BARA To Stage One Minute Silence Before Steeden Final

BARA will hold a minutes silence before this evenings game against the British Police in memory of Alf Robertson & Mohammed Ayaz.
BARA wlll line up at the Arthur Miller stadium for the Steeden Cup final as they look to build on their successive wins against the British School Teachers and the Fire Service.
But before the kick off supporters inside the ground will be asked to keep one minutes silence to mark the death of Alf Robertson and Mohammed Ayaz who both sadly passed away this month.
Life long Bulls supporter and passionate supporter of BARA since its inception , Alf lost his battle to lung cancer and passed away quietly and peacefully wearing his BARA t-shirt. Alf’s dying request was to be cremated in his BARA blazer.
Mohammed Ayaz , father of Qamar Ayaz of Stradbrokes Solicitors, BARA’s main sponsors was taken ill all of a sudden during a pilgrimage visit to Mecca and sadly did not recover.
BARA Managing Director, Ikram Butt stated ‘Alf was like a father figure to me and all of my BARA colleagues. He was so passionate about BARA and gave us that self belief and determination during our early stages of development when others didn’t quite understand the importance and significance of the values of BARA and what we were trying to achieve.’
‘Mohammed Ayaz was ever so kind and generous with a big heart and provided BARA much need financial sponsorship throughout the years.’
‘Both Alf and Mohammed were truly inspirational and wonderful human beings and will be sadly missed by all those who ever came into contact with them. On behalf of all my BARA colleagues our deepest condolences goes out to all the family members of the two great men and long will they be remembered.
BARA v British Police will go head to head in the final of the Steeden Cup. Kick off is at 7:30pm at the Arthur Miller stadium, Stanningley on Thursday 29th September.
