BBC Sports Unsung Hero Award for 2011

The BBC's Sports Unsung Hero Award, now in its ninth year, seeks to reward those who dedicate their life to sport in their local areas for no monetary gain.
It could be the person who cuts the grass, helps coach the team, or cleans the clubhouse. A winner is chosen in each BBC English Region and in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Winners from each region go forward to compete for the overall award to be presented live at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show 2011.
This year's award is launching in September 2011, but I wanted to alert you to our Facebook page which is new for this year's search.
Information and news will be posted on this Facebook page once the campaign starts, including interviews with regional Unsung Heroes and stars from the world of sport, plus much more.
