Bulls Sleepover Raises Vital Funds
Published on: 27th October 2011
Bulls players, staff and supporters did their bit for charity last Friday by braving the elements during a sponsored sleepover.
Prop Bryn Hargreaves and wing Shaun Ainscough joined 22 staff and fans for the event, which raised funds for the charity Action for Children.
The event ran from 8pm until 6am, and Bradford Bulls' Foundation general manager Gareth Cook said: “It was a resounding success and raised vital funds for a very good cause.
"Action for Children aims to raise awareness of issues such as child poverty, particularly here in Bradford.
“There were 24 of us in total - 22 staff and fans plus Bryn and Shaun - and it was great fun, despite the temperatures!
“Some people managed to sleep during the night, others didn’t, but everyone who took part deserves great credit.
“We plan to organise another sleepover next summer, aimed at a younger age group.”
Fans can still sponsor the team for their efforts by contacting Bulls Foundation Manager, gareth.cook@bradfordbulls.co.uk
