Pudsey Judo take major tournament honours

Pudsey Judo Club players showed exactly why they are fast regarded as some of the countries most improved and accomplished Judo players.
This weekend ,at the Heart of England event in Birmingham Becks Basirov won the 66Kg to become champion with Elliott Thackray only losing in the semi final to the Norwegian No.1. Patrick Killoran had his first taste moving to the new age group meeting a GB international in the first round.
The event is the largest in Britan with over 800 competitors entering. Coach Neil Fletcher described this as a fantastic achievment and excellent preparation for the National Finals to be held in Sheffield in October.
