Quest Stars prepare for the Ultimate challenge at the "Ultimate Taekwondo Championships

Quest Taekwondo, which has clubs in Keighley, Bingley, Cottingley, Baildon and Greengates, took a team of sparring players, coached by Rick Simpson, to a 1 on 1 Match Day in Barnsley. Competing for Quest were:
Jake Barnett, 15 of Baildon - LOST
Natasha Burdock, 13 of Silsden - WON
Liam Burdock, 9 of Silsden - WON
Ellie Bowden, 10 of Cullingworth - WON
Jamie Kidd, 9 of Keighley - WON
Zak Spencer, 7 of Baildon - WON
Jason Mann, 9 of Greengates - LOST
Each competitor was equally matched against an opponent from other clubs in the country, and competed over 2 rounds of 2 minutes. The players with the highest score after the 2 rounds won.
Jake Barnett, although who lost, put in the best performance for Quest, taking British Silver Medallist John Steele, of Ultimate Taekwondo (Doncaster), to the wire, losing by only a single point 18-19.
Quest's next outing will be at the Ultimate Sparring Championships, now taking place at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield, on 16th October. Further info on this event is displayed below.
