Community Games provide a wonderful and unique opportunity for communities from all backgrounds right across the country to come together and celebrate the 2012 Games and enable thousands of people to experience and create their own Olympic or Paralympic moment.

In West Yorkshire there is up to £400 available for a limited time for the first 30 Community Games events that achieve the aims and help us achieve 22,500 visitors to the games in the county.

The MARS Refuel™ Drink Fund was set up to encourage people to play their favourite sport for longer. The MARS Refuel™ Drink Fund has one gold (£1000), four silver (£500) and eight bronze (£250) awards to donate to the most deserving applicants every month for the next six months.

West Yorkshire Coach and Leader Bursary Scheme

West Yorkshire Sport has launched a new funding scheme to encourage and support the personal and professional development of coaches and leaders working in West Yorkshire through subsidising the cost of National Governing Body qualifications.

Funding is available to Coaches and Sport Makers to gain a Level 1 or 2 Coaching Qualification or a recognised NGB leadership award.
